When we have finished talking about the basic skills, let’s start directly talking about the easy part to get started and make money.
Introduction to Google Adsense
If you have not used Google Adsense before, you must clearly distinguish between Google Adsense and Google Ads. Adsense makes money for you, while Ads is where you spend money.
- Google Adsense: A platform for website owners to make money by displaying ads on their websites
- Google Ads: A platform where advertisers place ads and need to pay a fee
Register a Google Adsense account
First enter Google Adsense official website

Click on the upper right corner to get started, then log in to your Google account
You will be asked to fill in two pieces of information: Your Site and Your Country.
For Country, just fill in the country where you are located normally. I am in China, so I chose China. There is no need to fill in Hong Kong or foreign countries like Stripe or other platforms, just fill in the country where you are located, because in the future, the receiving bank card will be bound.
Important Note:
Google Adsensesupports domestic bank card collection.

After filling in, click Next
Set up Google Adsense account
Next, you will enter the main interface of Google Adsense. You can click on each button in the sidebar to see what is there.
Improve payment information
Here we first click on the leftmost of the three cards in the middle to complete our payment information.

The Account Type is based on your actual situation. If you are a company, fill in the company, and if you are an individual, fill in the individual.
Add website
Then we return to the Adsense homepage again and click Submit Site (add website)

Set ad code
One of the more convenient aspects of Google Adsense is its automatic advertising. Basically, you only need to obtain its code, and there is no need to set a fixed position for each advertisement. It will automatically find the appropriate place to insert the advertisement, which is more convenient.

Obtaining and installing advertising code
- In the AdSense control panel, click the "Ads" tab
- Select "By Site" and click on your website
- Click the "Get Code" button
- Copy the generated JavaScript code
- Paste the code into the
<head>tag of your website
<script
async
src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX"
crossorigin="anonymous"
></script>Ad review process
After adding the code, Google will need to review your website, a process that usually takes 1-2 weeks. During the review, please ensure:
- Your website content complies with Google AdSense policies
- The website can be accessed normally
- The website has enough original content
- Clear website navigation and good user experience
Advertising Revenue Optimization Tips
- Content Quality: High-quality, original content can attract more visitors and increase ad click-through rates.
- Ad Position: Although it is an automatic advertisement, you can set your ad display preferences in the AdSense backend.
- Mobile Optimization: Make sure your website performs well on mobile devices
- Page loading speed: Optimize website loading speed, improve user experience and advertising display opportunities
- Regular Analysis: Use AdSense analysis tools to see which pages are performing best and adjust your content strategy accordingly

- Focus on data analysis: Regularly check advertising performance data and optimize strategies
- Follow the Rules: Although Adsterra is relatively lenient, you still need to abide by its advertising policies
When to choose Adsterra over AdSense
- Your website is new and the content is not rich enough.
- Your website content falls into categories that AdSense does not accept (such as adult content, gambling, etc.)
- You want to start earning ad revenue quickly
- You want to try more diverse advertising forms, including pop-up ads
- Your website was rejected or blocked by AdSense
Adsterra is a good choice for start-up websites or websites that do not meet AdSense requirements, but as the website grows and the content is improved, it is recommended to apply for AdSense at the same time, because in the long run, AdSense can usually provide higher income and better ads.
